Holyland Family Tour

Jordan has a rich culinary, parts of which date back thousands of years and parts that are influenced by its modern history and the diversity of the people who live here. Explore the sights, sounds and smells of Jordan on this unique tour that focuses on the local cuisine, the fresh ingredients found here, and the age-long processes and traditions that are part of the local culture.
  • Day 1

    Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport where you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv.

  • Day 2

    In the morning we will explore the modern city of Tel Aviv in a fun way. We will see the many new high-rise buildings, UNESCO’s World Heritage Site of The White City, and the colorful seashore promenade. In the afternoon we will visit Old Jaffa. This is the city from which the Prophet Jonah sailed to Tarshish and was eaten by the whale. We explore the flee market and taste its delicacies during a fun market tour that includes music, dances and food.

  • Day 3

    Today we will experience the feeling of being an archeologist and look for ancient items. We participate in a “Dig for a Day” program and learn how to sift dirt, pan soil and dig for treasure. In the afternoon we visit the underground Ayalon Institute, a clandestine munitions factory from the time of Israel’s War of Independence.

  • Day 4

    Drive through the coast of The Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea. This is one of the most unique ancient Roman towns in the world. Here we explore the palaces, sport venues, theater and sunken harbor. On to Old Acre, a unique town where the old and new combine. We explore the underground Byzantine city and tunnels and marvel at the old fishing port. Our next stop is Rosh Hanikra where we descend by cable car to see the grottoes carved out by the sea. This is one of the most beautiful natural places in Israel.

  • Day 5

    Today we visit a kibbutz. This is a communal village that Israel is famous for. Here people live and work together and produce fruits and vegetables. We will enjoy a Jeep ride through the fields and orchards of the Galilee before visiting a winery for some wine tasting (for the adults).

  • Day 6

    In the morning we visit Old Katzrin Village. Here we will wear Biblical style hats and clothes and learn how life was during Biblical times. This immersive active experience is one of the most enjoyable in the country. Drive to The Sea of Galilee, where we visit some of Christianity’s most sacred places: Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes and Tabgha.

  • Day 7

    In the morning we visit Nazareth, the town of Jesus. Here we see The Basilica of The Annunciation and the colorful markets. Drive through the Jordan Valley and the River Jordan to Jerusalem. Upon arrival we will stop to say the traditional blessing of “Shehayanu” – God bless us upon arrival.

  • Day 8

    A day dedicated to the wonders of Jerusalem – visit to the Old City and its markets, the Western Wall, Via Dolorosa and Mount Zion. This is one of the most inspiring days on our trip and yet a fun one too as we walk through the narrow and colorful markets of the Old City Bazaars.

  • Day 9

    This day is dedicated to explore the wonders of the lowest place on Earth – The Dead Sea. We drive down to this wondrous area early in the morning and visit Massada. This was a royal palace built by king Herod and used in the rebellion against the Romans. We will visit one of the beaches and will have the opportunity to experience floating while swimming on the Dead Sea.
    Overnight in Jerusalem.

  • Day 10

    Transfer to the airport for our flight back home.
